This Milwaukee article is about a school using Hip Hop Tycoon, one of the augmented reality handheld games being developed here at UW. I'm inspired! The writer notes that the game effectively set the stage for invested learning to happen. Brings to mind the phrase "take some time to save some time."

Why didn't they have those when I was in school. It's interesting how technology becomes and extension of our culture and our being. Kids today wonder how people survived in the olden days before cell phones! I remember when computer time at school consisted of using the old apple II (the one with the all green monitor) to play artillery and organ trail! How times have changed.
