Did you take the photo of the bird at Lake Mendota? If so, well done!! It is stunning.

Thanks, yeah, I took it with our digital sony cybershot W-5. We tried to sneak up on the bird while it was standing in the water, but it got spooked.

I love our camera. It's one of the fastest compact digital cameras I've used.

Wow, it is so pretty out there, when can we come out!

Awesome pictures! It looks so cool out there, and Mary is getting so big. But it doesn't look too cold. I thought it was supposed to be freezing out there. It looks like Jim and Chris are just fine with light jackets. Maybe Chris isn't cold because of his grizzly, northwestern mountain man beard!

Allison - Come out soon:) You would love to shoot photos out here. With the trees and lake it is so nice.

Ian - Thanksgiving week was so nice - but now it is cold. Yesterday was the first "dusting" of snow, and only one of our car doors would open. The freezing rumors are true, but I think there are patches of mild weather here and there in Madison.

And the beard definitely takes the edge off:)
